So my silence is based purely on the fact that I've barely seen a computer in the past couple of weeks. I took a couple of weeks vacation to unwind and of course, hang out with my parents and my sister. It was so great to introduce my family to this beautiful country. Here are some of the pictures.
My whole family in front of Machu Picchu.
Lake Titicaca...beautiful view.
In front of a beautiful church in Arequipa. I don't remember the name now.
More pictures to come!

So glad to hear that you were traveling with your family! I thought you'd maybe gotten some kind of holiday depression and were alone in some remote Peruvian mountains. The pictures are beautiful!
Miss you!
We had a wonderful time in Peru. Thanks for the hospitality little sis! Make sure you send me that Machu Picchu pic. . .It is a beautiful country and you were an amazing host.
Nice photos, Ar. Sounds like you all had a fantastic holiday and enjoyed your time together. Be well in the New Year. Love, Ellie
What a wonderful experience, I loved the warmth of Arequipa, and the beautiful buildings; the Beaches at Mira Flores (Lima); the incredible ruins in the Sacred Valley climbing the thousands of steps heavenwise at Pisac and Ollaytantambo; and Manchu Picchu was amazing.
Of course meeting your Peruvian family was a highlight as well as experiencing the pre-Inca cultures and the fabulous Cordilla Blanco. Ancash Province is beautiful. However some of the most remarkable events are associated with the methods of transportation. The taxis in Lima; the combis in Huaraz; the train crash on my birthday going to Manchu picchu; ( My knees still hurt!) the narrow streets of Cusco where I was afraid of being run over; the incredible ride in a reed boat on Lake Titicaca; and to cap it all off the terrifying trip from 12,000' to sea level with a hung-over taxi driver who swerved from side to side around potholes and blind corners!
So many memorable moments. You certainly cram unusual happenings into 2 weeks Ari! Loved our time with you.
